Kolb+Co. History

The firm was founded in 1960 by Bob Kolb and Larry Lauwasser as Kolb Lauwasser & Co. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The mission of the firm from the start was to provide unparalleled services to privately held companies. Today, this continues to be our mission, and we strive to be our clients’ trusted adviser.

Over the past 50 years, the firm has grown organically and is now the largest, locally owned public accounting and business advisory firm in southeastern Wisconsin with close to 100 employees and 14 shareholders. The firm has also become an integral part of PrimeGlobal, one of the oldest, largest and most well respected accounting associations of independent accounting firms in the world. 

Our leadership has always been client minded and customer service driven. As we continue to grow and shape the third generation of leaders within our firm, we are proud to say that our passion has not changed.
