Friday, May 6, 2011, Brookfield-based Kolb+Co., public accounting and business advisory firm, will close at 11:00 a.m. for a half-day volunteer event, Kolb+Co. Action Day. All employees are encouraged to participate in a firm wide volunteer project at Phantom Lake YMCA Camp in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. More than 70 Kolb+Co. employees will help ready the camp for summer campers by raking, clearing trails, digging fire pits, moving bunk beds and doing other activities. Kolb+Co. anticipates donating approximately 300 volunteer hours to the YMCA.
Kolb+Co.’s Action Day is part of its formalized a community involvement program, the Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE (Focus On Raising Community Engagement). Through volunteering, sponsorships, donations, board memberships and other unique activities the Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE supports more than 50 nonprofit and local organizations annually.
