Tom Luken, CPA, President email | bio February 2009 Happy New Year! 2008 marked another year of growth for our firm. We welcomed 25 new employees, promoted seven deserving associates and outgrew our existing office space. In November, Kolb+Co. began construction on additional space on the 2nd floor of our building. This expansion will increase our office space by more than 40 percent and will be completed this spring.
Focusing on the ever-expanding service needs of our clients, we launched the “Helping Your Business Grow” seminar series in May of 2008. These sessions concentrated on business, acquisition and transition planning. We look forward to continuing this informative series again this year.
Some additional highlights of 2008 included hosting the IGAF Worldwide Annual Women’s Conference at our office. IGAF is an association comprised of more than 130 accounting firms around the globe. We are proud to be a member of this esteemed organization. The Business Journal again ranked Kolb+Co. as one of Milwaukee’s 10 largest accounting firms, 10 largest management consulting firms, and one of Milwaukee’s largest computer training companies. In addition, Kolb+Co. received its seventh, consecutive, unqualified, triennial, external peer review affirming that our accounting and auditing practice is in compliance with the quality control standards and requirements of the American and Wisconsin Institutes of CPAs and the regulations of the state of Wisconsin.
