Celebrating Kolb+Co.’s Golden Anniversary with the Community

This year, in honor of Kolb+Co.'s 50th anniversary, we are focusing our efforts on giving back to our local community.  Since our firm's inception, we have maintained a strong culture of service and a genuine desire to improve the communities in southeastern Wisconsin.  To further this commitment of time, talent and funds, we have established the Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE (Focus on Raising Community Engagement) program.  The Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE program coordinates all firm-sponsored volunteer activities. 

With Kolb+Co.'s 50th anniversary in mind, we have planned a half-day volunteer project, the Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE Action Day, as our internal celebration of this milestone year.  On Friday, May 21, 2010, Kolb+Co. will close at 11:30a.m. for a half day, and all employees are encouraged to participate in a firm-wide volunteer project with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee.  Our team will help ready Camp Whitcomb-Mason in Hartland, Wisconsin for summer campers by clearing trails, spreading woodchips, trimming trees and doing other activities.  We anticipate providing approximately 300 volunteer hours to the Boys & Girls Club on Action Day.  

In addition to Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE Action Day, all employees, family members, clients and friends of the firm are invited to participate in monthly coordinated volunteer activities.  Since January, we have served a community meal to approximately 100 people at the Waukesha Salvation Army, collected more than 50 cell phones for shelters, participated in the Weed Out for the Urban Ecology Center, and helped Special Olympics Wisconsin with a basketball event.  Upcoming events include working with Habitat for Humanity, collecting school supplies and preparing and serving a meal at the Ronald McDonald House.  We aim to support more than 50 nonprofit and local organizations in our 50th year of service through volunteering, sponsorships, donations, board memberships and other unique activities.
