Kolb+Co.'s 2^nd Annual Action Day

On May 6^th, Kolb+Co. will close at 11:00 a.m. for its second annual Volunteer FORCE (Focus On Raising Community Engagement) Action Day. All employees are invited to participate in a firm-wide volunteer project at Phantom Lake YMCA Camp http://www.phantomlakeymca.com/ in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Our team will help ready the camp for summer activities by clearing trails, spreading woodchips and prepping campsites. We anticipate providing approximately 350 volunteer hours to the YMCA on Action Day.  

"The experience that we had last year was incredibly rewarding. We were able to help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee http://www.campwhitcombmason.org/ with many projects that were on their wish list, but due to limited staff, they were not able to tackle. In addition, it gave all of our employees and shareholders a chance to work with each other in a different way. I am looking forward to our project with the YMCA and am proud that Action Day is now a new annual tradition for our firm," stated Tom Luken, Kolb+Co. president. 

In addition, the Kolb+Co. Volunteer FORCE team coordinates monthly volunteer activities that are open to all employees, family members, clients and friends of the firm. In 2011, we have helped the Waukesha County Historical Society and Museum http://www.waukeshacountymuseum.org/ teach kids about city planning through the construction of a Lego city during the Waukesha JanBoree, collected birthday party items for Food Pantry of Waukesha County http://waukeshafoodpantry.org/ and assisted residents of Brookfield Rehabilitation and Specialty Care http://www.brookfieldrehabilitation.com/ attend an entertainment program. In May and June, we will be collecting funds for the Milwaukee Rescue Mission http://www.milmission.org/ to purchase school uniforms for their students, and in June we will be riding in the UPAF Ride for the Arts. If you would like to join the Kolb+Co.
